Wind Speed Conversion Tables
To undertake a wind uplift calculation the wind speed used needs to be in metres per second.
Whilst the wind speed shown on the Isopleths map in BS6399: Part 2, is in metres per second, wind speed data from other weather records may be in either knots or kilometres per hour.
Choose the table for the wind speed units you have and read down the left hand column and across to the figure for the wind speed units needed.
